Oscar ohne Christoph Waltz
In Los Angeles wurden am Donnerstag die Nominees für den Oscar bekannt gegeben. Die Satire Birdman von Alejandro González Iñárritu und die Komödie The Grand Budapest Hotel von Wes Anderson sind mit je neun Nominierungen die Favoriten für die 87. Oscar-Gala am 22. Februar.
Richard Linklaters Jugenddrama Boyhood wurde sechsmal nominiert, das Stephen-Hawking-Drama Die Entdeckung der Unendlichkeit von James Marsh 5-mal.
Der zweifachen Oscarpreisträger Christoph Waltz, der für seine Rolle des Walter Keane in Tim Burtons Big Eyes für einen Golden Globe nominiert war, ist leider leer ausgegangen.
